Among all these Sevas, performing Anna Dana Seva is considered to be a great sacred deed, since in this Seva, we are fulfilling both the soul and the body of the devotees by the way of providing them food and water. Annadana is offered in Mantralayam since few hundred years, and even when a severe famine occurred during the 19th century AD, the then pontiff of Mantralayam didn’t stop the noble act of providing food to the devotees at Mantralayam, even when the funds of the holy Mantralayam Mutt were severely strained. This holy service of Mantralayam is being meticulously carried out by the Mutt Authorities, due to the reason, that, before becoming a Madhwa Guru, Raghavendra Swamigal who was called as Venkatanatha, had suffered a lot from hunger and thirst, and during that time, his wife and son were also suffered. That’s why the kind Guru Ragahavendra is interested to perform Annadanam to all of the devotees who visit Mantralayam in a non-stoppable manner.
Since Guru Raghavendra is doing his holy service in a selfless manner, by the way of lending his helping hands to all of his devotees, it is our most important duty to help him, by the way of contributing huge sums to the holy Mutt, only based on the own interest of the devotees. Guru Raghavendra Swami at Mantralayam is also called as “ANNADANA MAHAPRABHU”, the one who provides abundant food to his devotees, “KARUNAI KADALE”, the one who showers mercy on his devotees like a vast ocean, “ANBU THANTHAIYE”, the great affectionate father, “ANADAI RAKSHAKA”, shows love and affection on his devotees like a kind hearted mother, “THUNGA PUDALVA”, the loving son of Ma Thungabadra River.

Hence let us support whole heartedly for this noble cause, in order to get the unlimited grace of our universal Guru Raghavendra Swamigal.
