Why Lord Vinayaka has written Mahabharata?

Mahabharata is a great epic, and in order to make the epic into an interesting one, the great rishi, Veda Vyasa had chosen Lord Vinayaka as the writer for the epic Mahabharata.

Why Lord Vinayaka sits on the bottom of the holy trees, Vanni and Arasa?

Since Lord Vinayaka is a simple god, and since he mostly prefers to stay under a roofless place, he has wilfully chosen to stay under the bottom of the holy trees, Vanni and Arasa.

Lord Vinayaka holds the weapon noose, in order to remove the death related fear from the minds of his devotees.

Why Lord Vinayaka was praised in the Vedas?

Several hymns were dedicated in praise of Lord Vinayaka, and he is praised in the Vedas as the Gananatha, the leader of the Shiva Ganas, including Lord Nandikeswarar.

Prahalada was a child devotee of Lord Vishnu, and his bhakti on god is unimaginable and unthinkable by us. He showed his selfless devotion on the god, and in return, he has been safeguarded in several circumstances by the divine power, and got all kinds of riches in this world.

He lived a holistic life, and never afraid of any bad things happened behind him. His thoughts were focussed entirely about Lord Vishnu only and he never thought about unwanted things in his life. He lived for several millions of years, due to the grace of Lord Vishnu. Though he belonged to Daitya sect, he lived a noble life similar to the Divine Devas in the heaven, and he contains an attractive appearance with a shining face, and glitters like a sun.
