Some of the unknown facts about Lord Parasurama are as follows:-

1. Parasurama’s birth name was Ramabhadra, and after getting the divine axe, also known as Parasu from Lord Shiva, he was known as Parasurama, which means the holder of the divine weapon Parasu.

2. Once Parasurama had even waged a war with Lord Shiva, and it was happened, since Lord Shiva wanted to test the warfare skills of Parasurama.

3. During his childhood, Parasurama was believed to be a calm child, but after the death of his father, Rishi Jamadagni, Parasurama had become ferocious and killed numerous kings, in order to destroy their ego.

4. The avatar of Parasurama took place, in order to reduce the burden of the earth mother, Ma Bhudevi.

5. Though at present, Parasurama lives in the Mahendragiri Mountain ranges, but, his presence would be there, throughout the world, based on the urgent call of his devotees.

6. Parasurama would become one of the Saptharishis in the next Yuga, and he would suitably guide and teach various spiritual things to Lord Kalki Bhagavan during the end of this Kali Yuga.

7. Parasurama also tried to cure the diseases of Ashwattama as per his request, but still then, he was unable to do it, since even the great Parasurama cannot bend the fate of Ashwattama.

8. Parasurama remains as a strict bachelor by controlling lust, since he focuses his entire attention on meditating Lord Shiva.

9. Parasurama defeated many kings during the past Yugas by remaining as a one man army, and this was made possible by him, by using the divine axe given by Lord Shiva.

10. Though Parasurama is having the powers to show his true (Viswaroopa) form, but, he doesn’t like it, since he wants to remain only as a servant of Lord Shiva.

Lord Shiva appears to be in strange form, since he wears scull garlands and tiger skin on his body. He also applies the burial ground ash all over his body, and happily dances with his ghost attendants.

The main reason for Lord Shiva doing like this is, one should not think about his inner beauty, but his soul must be maintained pure, and the main aim of taking human birth is to attain salvation by the way of becoming Siddha Purushas, who would live their life as per their own wish, by the way of wearing whatever they like!
