Ma Shakti Devi appears to be so beautiful, since she is considered to be the mother of the entire universe! In the Devi Mahatmya Purana, Ma Shakti Devi is praised by mentioning her various names. Before few Yugas, even some demons liked her beauty and they wanted to make her as their consort. But after Ma Shakti Devi gave them suitable punishment, they have changed their nature, and became as Divine Attendants of Lord Shiva. It is also believed, that Ma Shakti Devi was the one who was first formed even before the formation of various other gods and goddesses. She only gave powers to other deities, and makes them to discharge their work in a proper manner. In some of the pictures, we could found that Ma Lakshmi and Ma Saraswati serving Ma Shakti Devi in a pleasing manner.
Ma Shakti Devi is also called as the goddess of beauty, since her beauty cannot be compared with anyone in the universe. Though she contains attractive beauty, yet, she never shown pride, but, remained as an affectionate mother for everybody in the universe. Ma Shakti Devi is also known to be a goddess of chastity, purity and generosity. Those who contain an ugly body must have to worship Ma Shakti Devi, in order to get a beautiful body.

Yes we have to be satisfied, whether we live in a hut or palace! Even in the case of a prince and a pauper, at the end of their life, they are not going to take anything with them. The life of a person who stays in a hut would be much better than that of a person who stays in a palace, and it all depends on how we take! Satisfaction should come only from the soul, and not from the senses of the body. The great sages and saints have realized the god only by staying in the huts (Ashrams) which would be mostly situated in the dense forests.
A person, who resides in a palace, might remain as a bachelor permanently, while a person who lives in a hut might be happier by enjoying in the company of his wife and plenty of his children. Spiritual enlightenment can be easily attained by leading a simple and an honest life. A person might be able to sleep peacefully in a torn mat, in his hut, while a person who lives in a big bungalow might be putting lot of sleeping tablets in order to make his sleep forcefully.
As per the Bhagavat Teachings of Lord Krishna, Krishna tells, “Hey my dear Arjuna, I like and love my devotees who live a very simple life. I mostly dwell in the souls of those pious people who live their life in small huts, since those good minded people would be having enough time to worship me, since they would have no big expectations on their life! Rich people, who live in big bungalows, would mostly forget about me, since their mind would keep on thinking about earning more and more wealth! I never differentiate my devotees as rich or poor, but, I used to see only their pure devotion!”
Human mind is subjected to temptations. Once if we become rich and buys a home, immediately we would be tempted to buy a car, jewels, lands etc., etc. Hence, we have to put some limitations on our life, in order to lead a satisfied life. Our life is like a big journey, and before the end of our journey, we have to do as much as good activities as possible, in order to maintain lot of good karmas in our life account.
Prayers are very essential in today’s life, and doing regular prayers to the almighty would definitely bring wonders and pleasantness in our lives, and it would give great withstanding powers in order to face any kind of challenges in our life. We must have the faith that god would look after our life, and would bear our burdens on his shoulders. Similar to Christians and Muslims who are doing regular prayers in the Churches and Mosques, we must also have to do regular prayers in the temples, or otherwise we can even perform prayers in our home itself.
We can offer our special prayers to the god in order to forgive our sins as follows:
