The term, “Who Am I”, means analysing us, and finding out the ways to know about our own characteristics. In terms of spiritual parlance, the term, “Who Am I”, means, finding out the ways to attain the glory of the god, and also to find the god on our soul, this term also can be described in a nut shell as searching the true person within our soul.
Lord Krishna in his Bhagavat Gita teachings, tells like this, “Oh my dear Arjuna, before verifying and commenting about others, first understand about yourself, examine your true nature, and find out the best possible means to fill it up with full of spiritual energy within you. Even if you examine thousand times, you could never knew about your past births, and about the activities performed by you on your previous births. Hence instead of knowing about all these things, tell to your soul, I am the person, who is good and kind with others. I love god and I spend my time usefully in spiritual activities. I never tease or speak wrongly about others, since I strongly believe that god dwells on the soul of everyone”.
Hence, as per the above sayings of Lord Krishna, instead of examining about our past life, and instead of comparing us with others, let us think that we are freshly born on this day, and let’s start doing things afresh. Instead of saying Who Am I, let us start saying How I must be in my life, How I should behave properly with others, How I can lend my helping hand to others, and How I can establish myself as a good and honest person in this difficult world, like that.
We have to take things as they come, and we should never get afraid of anything in our life. We should tell to us, “let anything come, I am ready to face it with a challenge, since I have been surrounded by innumerable gods and goddesses”. Lack of confidence and keeping over confidence would collapse our life. Only with a limited number of questions, we could try to find out answers. We can’t get answers for all of our questions, since god would never answer to our questions, when he considers it as waste ones.
