Significance of God

Brahma Vishnu Shiva

Brahma Vishnu Shiva

The famous Siddhar Saint Sri Bogar Peruman, has mentions in one of his texts, “Oh! My Dear Lord Shiva, I don’t want to even get your direct divine vision, since, by visiting your Holy Mountains, I am greatly satisfied, and I worship those sacred mountains by considering them as your divine forms”. Circumambulating the Holy Mountains like Saduragiri, Arunachala and Kailash would grant great Punya (Good Karma) to us, since these mountains are considered as the true forms of Lord Shiva. While circumambulating these marvellous mountains, we should keep on reciting the Shiva Mantra, “OM NAMAH SHIVAYA”, in order to avoid unnecessary talks during the time of our pleasant journey.

If we read from our ancient texts, we could find that most of the ancient sages including the demons like Ravana and Kumbakarna were undergone rigorous penance on the Holy Mountain Himalayas. Even Ma Parvati has once performed meditation on Lord Shiva on the Holy Himalayan Mountain Ranges.

Once when Sage Markandeya has asked about the significance of the Holy Arunachala Hills to Lord Shiva’s Divine Attendant Lord Nandi Bhagavan, he gave his reply with a cheerful smile. “Oh My Dear Markandeya, the significance of the Holy Mountain Arunachala cannot be fully explained by anyone in the entire universe, and it cannot be detailed fully even by Lord Brahma and Lord Vishnu, including me, but however, according to my level best, I would explain about its significance. Those who circumambulate the Holy Arunachala Hills continuously for a few years, would get all kinds of prosperity in their lives, and in their subsequent births, they would be born as healthier, wealthier and as kind hearted souls. And in course of time, they would even merge with Lord Shiva”.

Hence, by considering the above worthy points, whenever we visit the Shiva Temples, while having the darshan of the Holy Shivalingam, let us imagine ourselves, by considering it as the Sacred Mountains of Lord Shiva. Mount Himalayas is also considered to be the another abode of Lord Shiva, since this Mountain is ruled by Lord Himavan who is none other than the father-in-law of Lord Shiva, since once he and his wife Ma Mena had arranged marriage for their daughter Ma Parvati to Lord Shiva.

Various scientists and researchers were also invented that even Mountains have lives! They even found some sound which has arisen from the Mountains, and they have considered it to be the breath of the Mountains!

Our Holy Hinduism is not a weaker religion, though our ancient religion is being practiced mainly in India. Recently when two people from a political party were given some speech about the Muslim Founder and Leader, The great Prophet Mohammed, immediately they were removed from the party, and they were also criticised for their remarks. Even we also have to strongly condemn them for their speeches, but at the same time, when someone from our own country, speak badly about our near and dear Lord Krishna, no action is being taken against them! Is it good to encourage such kind of acts?
