STORY NO.2
Once there lived a popular king in the Ishvaku Dynasty and his name was Nimi. He contains great bravery, generosity and other good features. Once he constructed a famous city nearby his main city, and named it as, “VAIJAYANTHAM”. And after that, he has arranged to perform a Yagna, nearby his new city, and due to that, he has requested Rishi Vasishta to perform the Yagna for him. Vasishta had replied to him that after the completion of Lord Indra’s Yagna, he would participate in his Yagna, and after saying that, he went to the abode of Lord Indra, the Indra Loka.
But, Nimi didn’t want to delay his own Yagna, and, hence, with the help of others, he has completed his Yagna. After some time, Vasishta has completed the Yagna at the Indra Loka, and returned to Nimi’s Kingdom. After knowing that Nimi has already completed the Yagna with the help of others, Rishi Vasishta has cursed Nimi to lead his life without his physical body. Due to that, Nimi began to live in the form of spirit, and in course of time, he has relieved from his curse, and attained salvation.
STORY NO.3
As per Hindu Puranas, Yayati was a noble king, and he was the son of King Nahusha and Ashokasundari, also known as “SREE ASHOKA SUNDARI” who was the daughter of Shiva and Parvati. His descendants were the Pandavas. Due to his great power, Yayati had conquered the entire world and he was considered as the great emperor of the world. He also ruled his kingdom in a well-versed manner by treating the people in a proper manner, and he had given a GOLDEN RULE during his period, similar to Lord Sri Rama and the great Bhakt Prahalad. His sons were Puru and Bharata.
He married to Devayani who was the daughter of Shukracharya, the guru of the demons. He also had an affair with Sharmishtha, the maid of his wife Devayani. Due to that, he was cursed by Sri Shukracharya to become an old aged man. After repeated requests by Yayati, he slightly changed his curse, and allowed him to exchange his curse with someone. Yayati exchanged his curse with his son, Puru, who was a very holy and a noble son, and readily accepted his curse, and has become an old man. After spending several years of his life as a young man, Yayati got interested in seeking spirituality, and took back the curse from his son, and he again became an old man, and lived his remaining portion of life in the form of a sage, by establishing an ashram in the forest, and after his death, he has attained SALVATION.
Both Ma Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar are considered to be the perfect match and they are the inseparable divine couple, who would exist even during the time of the deluge (Maha Pralaya). Meenakshi Sundarerwarar marriage event would be held in the temples of Lord Shiva during the time of festive occasions. Ma Meenakshi and Lord Sundareswarar are praised as “made for each other couple”. Those who witness the wonderful marriage event of the divine couple in the Shiva temples would be blessed by the divine couple forever in their life, and their marriage life would subsist for a long period of time.
By seeing the marriage event of the divine couple in the temples, the human couples also should lead their life in a good manner. Nowadays even some small, small fights make the couple to get separated from each other, and lot of divorce cases are also occurs. Newly married couples must know about the divine marriages made between Shiva and Parvati, Srinivasa and Padmavati, Krishna and Rukmini, Prahalada and Devi, by reading it in the Puranas, and they also must try to live similar to them.
