Bhadrachalam Temple Story, Sthala Puranam of Bhadrachalam Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple….
This is the story of “Rama” which was told by Sri Valmiki in the Era of the Tretayuga. The city of “Ayodhya” was the capital of Kosala. On the order of Dasaratha the king of Kosala.
Sri Rama, along with Seetha and Lakshmana went to the forest. The whole citizens of Ayodhya felt deep sorrow for the detachment of Sri Rama. The detachment of Sri Rama with Saketha pura was temporarily sad. But the event had sank the whole world in the merry mood. It was the time that all the Lords of heaven felt happy.
The Ramavatharam itself was the leela of Bhagavan, which used to Dustasikshana and the establishment of Dharma. With Ramavathara, the entire India became the holy land. The human values and good equalities of Rama made him as a Model man of the best human being. The Ramavathara was the origin of Bhadrachala Divya Kshetram.
They arrived to Dandakaranya, after crossing the great rivers and the great mountains. Agastya, Sara Bhangudu, Suthishnadu, Sudharsanudu and Matanga etc, Maharshis lived and continued their Thapasyas. The gangs of Rakasi entered into that Arayana which was the most holy and peaceful place. Khara, Dhushana, Thrisuna the brothers of Ravana made this Arayana as their capital.
Once, it was the place of Jana, but men became Asura. Agastya with his unequivalent power of Thapa, protected all the groups of muni’s from the danger of Rakshasas in Dandaka. Agastya was the origin for our Southern languages and cultures. Sri Rama, Seetha and Laxmana serviced him for a long time. He felt very happy and thought that was no danger in future for saints and for their activities as Sri Rama come there.
The saint Agastya presented Rama, the Vaishnava bow, Akshyathuniram and the most talented Astra Sastra to save dharma and to kill Rakshasas. He suggested to Seeta, Rama and laxmana to live in “Panchavati” the center of beautiful five banyan trees. That suggestion became the way for Dustasikshana and SistaRakshna.
