Edurkolu Utsavam is one of the famous events during Sitaramachandra Swamy Kalyanam at Bhadrachalam. In 2020, Edurkolu for Sitarama Kalyanam date is April 1.
On Edurkolu day, the special rituals begin at 4’0 clock in the morning with Suprabhatha Seva, followed by Havanam, Sattumorai, Mangalashasanam, Utsavanga havanam, Rajabhogam. Garudavahana Seva is the most popular event for the day.
Edurkolu is a ritual, marks the introductory session among the relatives of both bride and bridegroom, which is held in the preceding night before the day of marriage. And it also marks a ritual to welcome bridegroom for marriage on behalf of bride and her relatives.

8 AM onwards – Utsavangahavanam in Yagashala
6 AM to 7 AM – Free Darshanam
8.30 to 11.30 AM – Sheegra Darshanam
11.30 AM to 12 Noon – Rajabhogam, Thiruvaradhana, No Darshanam
5.30 PM to 6 PM – Aradhana, NO Darshanam
6 PM onwards – Utsavanga Havanam
7 PM to 10 PM – Edurkolu Utsavam, Garuda Vahana Seva
Among all the events during Bhadrachalam Sri Rama Brahmotsavam, Sri Rama Navami and Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam utsavams attract lakhs of devotees from all parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, and many other regions.
Sri Rama Punarvasu Deeksha is the major ritual observed during Sri Rama Navami and it ends with Sri Rama Deeksha Viramana.
