Vasanthotsavam Tirumala Tirupati
Vasanthotsavam is an annual seva celebrated in Tirumala Tirupati Balaji temple during Chaitra masam or Chaitra month (March – April). It is celebrated for three days – Chaitra Shukla Trayodasi, Chaitra Shukla Chaturdasi and Chaitra Pournami. In 2024, Vasantothsavam dates are – April 21, 22 and 23.
During Vasantotsavam, Lord Malayappa swamy or the Utsava murthy of the temple with his divine consorts are offered special pujas.
Vasantotsavam, one of the popular arjita sevas to Lord Tirupati Venkateshwara, begins with Ankurarpanam on Uttarabhadra nakshatram in Tamil Panguni month. Punyavachanam, Vasthu Shanti, and Samprokshanam are performed on the day before Vasantothsavam puja. These rituals are not open to public. Snapana Thirmanjanam or a special abhishekam is performed to Lord Malayappa swamy.
Vasanthotsavam 2024 schedule
21 April 2024 – Lord venkateswara ( Malayappa Swami and His Consorts ate taken round in procession and brought to the vasanta mantapam)
22 April 2024 – Srivari Rathosthavam
23 April 2024 – Sri Rama with Sita, Lakshmana and Anjaneya and Sri Krishna with Rukmini and Satyabhama are also taken out in procession and brought to the vasanta mantapam.
