In ancient days, accordingly to puranas, the hill of “Meruvu” became a bow for the Lord Shiva in getting success in Tripura Samhara. All the nine planets goes on round and round around Meruvu. “Vedam” appreciated it as a golden hill. “Veru Devi” was the wife of Meruvu. They made thapa for the god Brahma to get a good son for a long time. “Brahma” appeared before them.

The Ramavatharam completed then Meruvu and Veru Devi had a deep desire to have a good son who always becomes a deep devotee of Rama in that world. They requested Brahma to give a son who was always having the devotion of Rama. Meru and Veru Devi went to their places. On one auspicious day, a son was born to them. There were no boundaries for the happiness of Meruvu. They celebrated the 11thday function on a grand level. All gods came from heaven on the invitation of Meruvu. The great god “Bruhaspathi” gave him name as “Bhadrudu”. The infant got good blessings of all gods.

The boy had all kinds of good qualities. Day by day he was growing like a Moon in sukla paksha. He had good love and respect among the elders. He always tell the name of “Sri Rama”. He spends always on the name of Rama. He did not mix other children to play. He seems to be a saint and sits in a corner and always spells about the skolas of Rama. This situation made the wife and husband with deep sorrow.

One day saint Narada came to the house of Meruvu. They completed all their kinds of respect to their guest. But they seem to be grief and sorrow. He knew their sorrowfulness and told in detail about history of the birth of Balabhadra. Narada wanted to see “Balabhadra”. Narada, Meruvu and his wife began to walk towards Aradhana Maharshi.

Narada saw Balabhadra in his Prayer. Balabhadra completely immersed in the devotion of the Lord Narayana. The heart of Narada was fully felt very happy and put his hand on Balabhadra’s head and blessed him. With the touch of his head, Balabhadra opened his eyes and saw Narada. Bhadra saluted Narada with whole body. He asked Narada to tell the way of Sri Rama’s Darashan. Narada felt very happy for the desire of Bhadra and reminded about the story of “Druva” and “Prahalada”. Narada thought it was the correct auspicious time to give Ramopadesam and taught him the “Rama Mantram”.
