Tirumalai Krishnamacharya (1888–1989) was a Yoga Guru, Ayurveda and Siddha physician and a famous Vedic and Sanskrit pundit. He was an expert in various types of Yoga, and nicely taught it to the students, and changed their lives. He healed lot of diseases of the people through his well-known yoga therapies.
For recovering from various types of diseases, he had suggested the people to do various kinds of Yogasanas. He was considered as one of the important Yoga guru in the 20th century.
Krishnamacharya was born in the year 1888, in Chitradurga district of Karnataka, to a pious Iyengar family. His father was a Vedic and Sanskrit Pundit. He was trained under his father and studied Vedas, Indian philosophies and sacred texts and he was an expert in Sanskrit language. Krishnamacharya travelled throughout India and gave lectures on yoga, and given spiritual discourses among the people. He also went to foreign countries, and gave lectures on Indian Philosophy, and spread the BHAKTI SPIRIT in the minds of the people. His teachings are based on adopting good habits and showing kindness and humanity with others.
He was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna, and apart from his profession, he used to spare lot of time in visiting temples, and worshipping the deities. He also healed the dreaded diseases of the people through Ayurveda and Siddha medicines.
Krishnamacharya has written lot of books based on Yoga, Ayurveda and spirituality.He had lot of disciples, who are now attained a good position in their life through his excellent training. He died in the year 1989. Though he is not currently available, he permanently lives in the hearts of his students and disciples.
