Guru Raghavendra Swamy of Mantralayam
Guru Raghavendra Swamy is a holy saint of Mantralayam and though he had attained Jeeva Samadhi before 350 years, still now he is blessing his devotees from his Samadhi shrine at Mantralayam, and he also fulfills their reasonable needs and removes the difficulties in their lives.
Similar to the sacred ash of Lord Shiva, the holy sand of Guru Raghavendra is considered as very auspicious amongst his devotees, and it contains miraculous powers. During his life time, once, one of his disciples had approached him, and asked the permission of Guru Raghavendra, for his marriage. Guru Raghavendra had happily blessed him, and gave him the holy Mritigai (Sacred sand), and asked him to search for a suitable bride.
The disciple left the place, and reached a village at a night time. When he was sleeping in the outside of a house, he suddenly found a huge giant standing in front of him. Though he was slightly afraid, but he didn’t show it in front of the giant. The giant had requested him to move the holy sand, which was kept in a bottle, to some other place, since it was very much interested in killing a newly born baby of the householder. The holy sand glitters like the gold, and it also produces lot of heat in the body of the giant. Hence the giant showed much interest, to remove the bottle from that place, and it also offered a potful of gold coins to the disciple.
On hearing about this pitiable story, the disciple had sprayed the holy sand by mixing it with water on the giant, and immediately the giant had attained salvation, and he had relieved from the chain of birth cycles.The house owner after knowing about this wonderful incident, had warmly invited the disciple to his house, and also as per his request, the disciple had married his daughter, and happily lived his life. From this incident we can know that how a person’s life was completely changed just by keeping a handful of sand with him. This was happened due to the divine grace of Guru Raghavendra.
This Mritigai (Holy sand) would be available in Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam, at an affordable price. We can consume this sacred sand by mixing it with water, in order to get purity in our mind, and also all of our health related problems would vanish from our body.
