During our free time, along with our family members, well-wishers or with our friends, we can play the divine game, which means reciting the 1000 names of Lord Vishnu. One person must recite the first 100 names, then the other must proceed with the next 100 names and like that, and finally it must end with the total 1000 names of Lord Vishnu. For doing these, the people who play this game, must be specialized in reciting all the 1000 names of Lord Vishnu.
By playing this divine game, it provides as an entertainment activity as well as it fetches lot of good karmas in our life. Daily we are spending our time, by reading newspapers and watching TV’s and Mobile Phones. As a change, we can play this new “VSG”, which means the “Vishnu Sahasranama Game” during our weekends and also during our free time.
As per legend, during the 15th century AD, it is believed that Lord Balaji had played dice game with his sincere devotee Bavaji, in appreciation to his bhakti. Bavaji nicely spent his time, by playing with the Lord itself, which we cannot imagine at this present period. Lord Balaji also safeguarded Bavaji from many troubles and finally he had also given salvation to him.
If we sincerely worship Lord Balaji, and play the “VSG”, along with others, definitely, before our death, Lord Balaji would play dice game with us at least during our dream. In some temples, we can see the deity of Lord Vinayaka, who appears in the posture of holding a bat in his hands, and he is fondly called as CRICKET VINAYAKA by the devotees. Some child devotees would think that Lord Vinayaka would really play cricket with them. As per the Vinayaka Purana, Lord Vinayaka appeared before his staunch devotee Vallalan, and as per his wishes, he played with him for some time, and he granted salvation to him at the later stage of his life. As per Mahabharata, Lord Krishna used to play the game of dice with the Pandavas and with Ma Draupati as a part of entertainment activity. Due to their good karmas, the Pandavas have got the opportunity to play with the Lord himself. Hence let us generate more and more bhakti on the god, and one day or other, Lord Balaji and Lord Vinayaka would play the dice game with us with a smiling face, and would bless us, at least in our dream.
There is no end for spirituality. Saints, sages and Divine avatars may come and go, but spirituality never ends. God exists for several millions of years, he still exists and there is no end for him. Only through his mercy, we are all born in this world, and we are able to know about his significance. We must realize that god has created all the living beings in the earth only for some purpose. We must utilize our human birth properly by chanting his names, singing his songs and worshipping him wholeheartedly.
During the time of Muslim kings invasion, they were able to only destroy the temples of Hindu deities, but they were unable to destroy the god. Once when the Mughal emperor Aurangazeb tried to destroy the Karmanghat Hanuman Temple during the year 1679, in order to grab the wealth of the temple, he had heard a divine voice from the temple, and it alerted him, by saying, “HEY RAJAN, DON’T TRY TO DESTROY THE TEMPLE. IF YOU DO IT, THEN YOU WOULD HAVE TO FACE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES FOR THAT”. The strange voice is that of Lord Hanuman, and after hearing the voice, Aurangazeb went from that place with fear on his mind.
