Temple of Shri Neemach Mata Ji is one of the most popular Hindu temples situated in Udaipur Rajasthan. Goddess Shri Neemach Mata has her abode here on the hill near the Fateh Sagar Lake in the Diwali Area of the Udaipur.
Shri Neemach Mata Ji who is three bodies in one popularly known as Ammba Ji and Ma Vaishno Devi of Mewar as well as Udaipur. A large number of devotees of all sects of Hindu religions come here from every part of the country to have the blessing of Mata Neemach Ji, however royal family of Maharanas and Dokot Khandhan who relates to Bhatnagar take Neemach Mata Ji as their clan goddess. Dokot Khandhan also offers special worship on ‘Haryali Amavasya’ every year.
Since the temple is on the hill, so to reach the temple of Shri Neemach Mata Ji, one has to climb approximately 900 meters long way. You may choose either stairs or uphill-slops to go the temple. The temple is made out of the stone and lime; on reaching there on the top, you find an idol of deity made out of stone.
Idol of Lord Ganesha and three lions facing to west are also there. The height of the temple makes it more attractive besides a ‘Havan Kund’, which is used for performing Yajna. A ring shaped path is around this ‘Havan Kund’.
Festivals like Diwali and Dusshera and others are celebrated here but the chief attraction is the occasion of Navratra falling in both Hindu months of Asawina and Chaitra.
