Alampur Jogulaba Temple is the 5th among Astadasha Shakti Peethas, 18 ancient temples dedicated to Goddess Shakti. Varshika Brahmotsavams are one of the popular events at this temple.
Jogini, also called Yogini, is a female Yogi, one who has given up all the worldly attachments. Jogini also meams a dancer who has dedicated her life to God. The Goddess is also known as Yogulamba or Yogamba by the locals.
The Jogulamba Devi Temple is built on the banks of Tungabhadra River. The idol of the Goddess is seen in a seated pose with abundant hair which has a lizard, scorpion, owl and a human skull adorned to it.

In 2018, Jogulamba Brahmotsavams begins on 18 January and ends on 22 January. Thousands of devotees will throng the temple on 22nd as Jogulamba Nijaroopa Darshanam blesses. This year, the temple celebrates 13th annual brahmotsavams.

Nityahoma Purnahuti, Kalasha Udwasana, Sahasraghata Avahana on devotees gothra nama, Archana, Special Abhishekam to Moola Murthy (Presiding deity). Prior to these special rituals, Utsava Yatra reaches the temple passing through Pura Veedhulu.
In the evening on Shri Panchami, Jogulamba Balabrahmeshwara Swamy Kalyanam, Dashavidha Harathulu, Theertha Prasada Vitharana will be performed. Shri panchami is the only day when you can watch Nija roopam of Jogulamba.
