Divine love is entirely different from ordinary love. Ordinary love, that is the love affair between the lovers would mostly consists of lust, selfishness and jealousy, whereas Divine love contains purity, and this love comes only from our soul and not from our sensual feelings. Loving our father, mother, sister and brother is one step above ordinary love, since these blood related relationships would last till our death. Loving our friends, well-wishers, neighbours and pets is also considered as a special type of love, since these types of love relationships arise only from our soul, and not from our body!
The great female devotees of Lord Krishna like Meerabai, Sakkubai and Muktabai loved Lord Krishna so much and their love must be considered as Divine love only, since they have dedicated their entire soul to Lord Krishna, and in that, there was no sensual feelings.
Divine love cannot come all of a sudden. Divine love can be practiced both by males and females, and whenever we love god thereafter there is no need to worry about anything in the world. Divine love gives great happiness, enthusiasm, cheerfulness and many more, which we cannot get from any sort of entertainment activities! The great Prahalada had lived a comfortable life for several thousands of years, since he loved Lord Vishnu so much! His entire body parts sung in praise of Lord Vishnu only, and even during his sleep his lips used to chant the glories of Lord Vishnu!
But at the present situation of our life, only few of us dedicate their life on worshipping the god. Many of us didn’t know the benefits which we get in worshipping the god for hours together. Some young people spoils their life by creating love affairs with others, and most of them are doing like that, due to the attraction of the body!
The great Prahalada in his ‘NARASIMHA STUTI’ tells, ‘I really wonder how the people in the earth are able to run their life without worshipping Lord Vishnu. According to me, those who ignore Lord Vishnu are simply wasting their life, and they are to be considered as mere dolls though they are created out of flesh and blood. Lord Vishnu is the great Parama Purusha who takes various avatars in order to enlighten us. Oh! My dear people please don’t waste your time by simply involving in normal activities. Please keep thinking about Lord Vishnu, about his holiness, purity and about his divine beauty, in order to get great spiritual pleasure!”
