King Bahuka

Bahuka was a noble king of the Ikshvaku dynasty, and the ruler of Ayodhya Kingdom, and he was the son of King Vrika. He was a kind-hearted king, and due to some misconception, he was driven out from his own country by the tribes, and took shelter in the forest and got divine knowledge and wisdom from Sage Agni. His son, Sagara was born in the Ashram of Sage Agni.

Due to his bad fate, he didn’t get affected. But instead of worrying, he began to meditate on Lord Vishnu for several years, and gained great powers through that. He was given various boons by Lord Vishnu, and after his son Sagara had attained teenage, he and his son went to their country and fought with the tribal people, and defeated them and Bahuka become the king of Ayodhya, and after his death, Sagara was crowned as the king of Ayodhya.

Let us worship the great king Bahuka and be blessed.
