What’s the Problem in Worshipping God

There is a general question to everyone, including me, and that is, “What’s the problem in worshipping the god? Why we are finding it difficult to allocate some more time towards worshipping the god on a daily basis? Why sometimes we are feeling guilty about our worship? Why we are not able to concentrate our attention properly on god during the time of our prayers? Why we are neglecting the god during the times of our difficulties? Why we are showing lesser attention on god? Do we dislike the god? Do we want to stay far away from our spiritual path? Is it necessary to worship the god? Is god really exists? Why god doesn’t show to us his divine form? Did god indirectly punish us? Did god really like all of his creations?

We have to ask ourselves these types of questions on a daily basis in order to test our bhakti on god. Due to the strict implementation of the god’s rules, and since we are trespassing those rules, we are suffering a lot in our lives. Actually god wants to keep everyone as happy, but since we are neglecting the teachings of the god, the great almighty is not in a position to help us.

If we find sufficient time towards spending our time in doing other ordinary works like gossiping about others, then why can’t we find sufficient time in worshipping the god? Did we think that, since god is not standing in front of us, and since he is not asking us to offer our prayers, we have to keep quiet!

God cannot appear before us, and he is not subjected to do like that! He cannot be approached by us easily, since even the great sages have to meditate him a lot in order to get his divine vision.

If we read some good incidents from the life of the devotees and saints, we could understand that how god has helped them and joyful tears would automatically come from our eyes. Once, Lord Krishna had even removed the dirt present on the body of his devotee, and for the sake of his staunch devotee, Ma Sakkubai, he has transformed in her form, and suffered severely from the hands of Sakkubai’s in-laws. Actually god is ready to do anything for us, but at the same time, we have to show our sincere bhakti on him in a good manner.

We should always remember that only through our constant prayers, we would get spiritual enlightenment. We should remember the phrase, “WORSHIP IS THE BEST SHIP TO SAIL TO THE ABODE OF THE OCEAN GOD, LORD VARUNA BHAGAVAN”.
