Temptation

Temptation is a bad feeling which would sometimes arouse in our mind, and we would be forced to do those things even if we consider it as a wrong act. Temptation would distract our normal behaviour and would make us to commit sins. Some people would be having temptation to eat lot of sweets, and as a result, in course of time, they would suffer from diabetes.

Some young people due to temptation, even before their marriage, would have physical relationship with others, and due to that, during the time of their marriage, they would have to face bad comments from their friends and relatives. Some young children would be addicted towards going to cinema theatres, and some children would madly watch their favourite star’s film for more than 20 to 25 times. Due to that, they would score poor marks in the exams, and as a result their future would become questionable.

People who observe fasting, sometimes due to temptation would eat wholesome meals, and they themselves would console, and they would not take that as a serious matter. In this Kali Yuga, as per our holy Puranas, Kali Purusha would stay with us, and would make us to tempt on worldly matters and would insist us to do wrongful acts.

In order to overcome temptation, we have to concentrate our attention on spirituality, and must involve ourselves in doing spiritual matters like performing puja, doing meditation and visiting to the temples like that.

Varkari saints like Tukaram, Gora Kumbhar and Meerabai didn’t get tempted on worldly matters, and they have concentrated their attention only on spiritual matters. They used to sing, dance and chant the names of Lord Krishna with full of devotion in their mind. But nowadays, most of the people’s mind is getting tempted, due to the influence of Kali Purusha, and as a result they are landing up in lot of troubles in their life.

We are reading in newspapers, that some people misbehave with women and they are getting punished in the hands of the law. These types are crimes are happening due to the temptation of the people, and unless and otherwise they control their mind, they would never lead a happy life, and their lives would be filled up with full of miseries and sorrows.

God has given this precious life for happily living in this world. We have to live our entire life in a comfortable manner, without big sufferings in our life. In order to lead a normal life, let us pray to Lord Krishna, to give a pious soul, and let full of spiritual thoughts store in our mind.
