The contents present in the sacred Sri Sudarsanashtakam are as follows:-
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the most powerful divine weapon of Lord Vishnu and you are the great Chaktratalvar! You are the form of Lord Vishnu, and that’s why Lord Vishnu is also called as “SRI CHAKRATIPATI”.
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the destroyer of the enemies of Lord Vishnu, and you are destroying our sins, enemies and diseases also.
Oh Sudarsana! During the Rama Avatar, You are the holy Bharata, who has faithfully served your brother Lord Rama till the time of your end, during the Krishna Avatar you have destroyed the bad people like Sishubala, and you have praised Lord Vishnu through spiritual songs by taking the form of Sri Tirumalisai Alvar.
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the permanent weapon of Lord Vishnu and you are the one, who was held by him permanently. Your name and fame would never diminish, since you cannot be separated by Lord Vishnu, and both of you are one and the same!
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are mentioned in the ancient Puranas, Ithikasas, Vedas and you are the best friend of Lord Vishnu. Even during the time of the meditative sleep (Yoga Nidhra) of Lord Vishnu, you still remain active, and would destroy the enemies within a fraction of few seconds!
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. Even the entire worlds might submerge into the ocean, the saints, sages and demi gods might die, the planets, stars, sun and the moon might fall down from the skies, but you would never die, even during the time of the deluge (Maha Pralaya).
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are the soul of Lord Vishnu, you are the activating force of Lord Vishnu, you are dear to Ma Mahalakshmi, and you are the son of Vishnu and Lakshmi, your powers are keep on increasing, you contains the powers equivalent to that of Lord Garuda, the divine vehicle of Lord Vishnu, you have been praised by the Bhagavathas like Prahalada, Dhruva, Narada and Sri Tumburu Bhagavan.
Oh Sudarsana! I praise, praise and praise you, and there is no end for my praise. You are shining very brightly and you always attain victory in the wars. You are capable to grant boons even to the celestials, you would travel quickly in the air, than that of the wind god, Lord Vayu Bhagavan. You are the most important devotee of Lord Vishnu, you are the perfect servant of Lord Vishnu and you are the supreme master for the devotees of Lord Vishnu.
Those who recite the above praise of Lord Sudarsana with sincerity would get the entire grace of Sudarsana, they would be treated as the best devotees of Lord Vishnu, and they also would be treated as the performers of Sri Sudarsana Homam for one hundred and eight times!
