Sant Hirdaram Sahib (20th century)was a well-known philanthropist, spiritual guru and also a Ram and Hanuman devotee, who used to chant the RAMA NAMA regularly from his childhood.He was worried about the sufferings of the down trodden people from his teenage itself, and started dedicating himself towards doing social welfare activities.
He was born and brought up in Ajmer, Rajasthan, and he came to Bhopal during the year 1962.In the name of Sant Hirdaram Swami Basantram Sewa Trust, lot of philanthropic activities were done. With the money received from his followers, he built hospitals, schools and poor feeding centres.
Apart from social welfare activities, he also concentrated his attention on spirituality. He had renovated ancient temples, and performed consecration for many temples. He visited many holy temples throughout India. He insisted his followers to worship Lord Rama in order to get good fortunes in their life. Though he was wealthy, he lived a simple life, and concentrated his attention in doing welfare activities for the people.
During the year 2006, after a brief illness, he died at his Ashram in Bairagarh, Bhopal.
