Sri Ramana is a great Guru, and he can also be treated as a best Maharishi, Bhagavan, saviour and humble saint, since he is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva. Most of the devotees would call him as “BHAGAVAN RAMANA”, which means god, due to their staunch bhakti on him. As per the life history of Ramana, he must be considered only as a Guru, but, based on his significance he can be treated similar to the God (BHAGAVAN) and also as a noble Rishi, and we can consider him similar to the divine persons like Sri Swami Narayan and Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Most of his devotees believe him to be an incarnation of Lord Shiva, since Guru Ramana has performed lot of miracles on their lives, and he was addicted to Shiva Bhakti from his younger age onwards. He has worshipped Lord Shiva in the form of the Holy Arunachala Hills, and therefore we can also call him as Guru Ramanarunachala. Some devotees are of the opinion that Guru Ramana was an incarnation of Lord Dakshinamoorthy, who remains silent, and who is considered both as a god and guru, and similar to Lord Dakshinamoorthy, Guru Ramana is also a silent Guru, and those who just see his eyes alone, would get their questions miraculously answered from their soul itself!
Even after merged with Lord Shiva, Guru Ramana still lives in the Holy Tiruvannamalai Hills, by taking the divine form, and he used to visit all over the world, and would attend the urgent calls of his devotees! During the time of our death bed, hearing the Mantras of GURU RAMANA BHAGAVAN is highly advisable. Guru Ramana acts as a mediator between us and god, and, hence, we would get a peaceful death. Worrying about our next birth is of no use, and we have to leave such types of worries under the lotus feet of our holy Guru Ramana.
We must have to always remember the precious spiritual quotes, “WHY FEAR WHEN OUR DEAR GURU RAMANA IS NEAR, AND HENCE, “BURY YOUR WORRY”
“RAMANA IS OUR MOST RESPECTFUL YEJAMANA (Our worshipful Master)”
“RAMANA IS THE GREAT PAVAMANA (One of the glorious names of Lord Hanuman)”
“WORSHIPPING GURU RAMANA IS LIKE READING THE HOLY EPIC RAMAYANA”.
In a famous Ramana Bhakti song, GURU RAMANA is described as an aspect of Lord Shiva, and hence whoever worships him sincerely, and does good activities, would get the direct blessings of Lord Shiva. Our Guru would also recommend to the Death God Yama Dharma, to attain a painless and fearless death during the time of our death. Guru Ramana cannot be forgotten, since he always dwells on the souls of his devotees, and showers his abundant grace like the vast Ocean. Similar to the Holy River Ganges, he is cleansing our sins, removes the sufferings, gives food and quenches our thirst by creating rainfall even in the dry desert regions.
