Balatripura Sundari Devi is the 1st day Alankaram in Vijayawada Temple Navaratri 2023, 15 October. During Dasara Navaratri of Kanakadurga Temple, each day one of the forms of Goddess Durga is worshipped.
On first day this year, Kanakadurga Mata is decorated in the form of Sri Balatripura Sundari Devi and worshipped. This Prathama Navratri falls on Ashwayuja Shukla Paksha Pratipada tithi.
Balatripura is the first goddess in the Tripura Traya and she is the main goddess of all in the SriYantra. Without having got the mantra of Bala one is not eligible to perform the Sri Yantra Pooja.
Last year, Balatripura Sundari Devi was the second day Goddess in Vijayawada Temple. The Alankarams of Navratri puja differs from year to year depending on the Nakshatras and Temple’s Agama Shasthra.
According to Navadurga Navratri procedures, Shailaputri Devi is the Navadurga Goddess to be worshipped on the first day.
