Shri Neemach Mata Ji Temple is a famous temple situated near Fateh Sagar Lake of Diwali area of Udaipur city in Rajasthan. The temple was built in 1952-1680 by the Majarana Ranjeet Singh I. Royal family of Maharana worship her as his clan goddess. The deity of the temple is considered to be very powerful so the devotees as well as the visitors in large number bow their head daily.
As the temple is located on hill on the bank of Sagar Lake, so the environment of the surrounding area of temple is not healthy but very pleasant too. The view of Lake and city from the height is very eye catching. The environment is pollution free because no vehicle is allowed.
The way to the temple, goes through both stairs and uphill slop walkway which is approximately 900 meters distance end to end and it has to be covered to reach to the temple premises, The temple which is like a regular place but its height makes the temple commending is made out of stone and lime. The idol of Shri Neemach Mata Ji is 56” long while its width is 23”. There is one more icon, which is 20.1” in height. A statue of God Ganesha which is 22.1” high and 12.1” wide is also there. Besides these statues of God and Goddess, visitors also find statues of three lions facing to west.
Worship on the day of festivals like Diwali, Dusshera and others is performed with fullest scale. Navratra of Chaitra and Ashwin months are also celebrated with special programs of singing Bhajans and others.
