Nanda Navami vrat is solely dedicated to worship Goddess Durga. Though, Nanda Navmi puja is a less known festival it has a great significance in terms ofbenefits and glory.
Sadhus or rishis worship Goddess Durga on Nand Navmi to get best results from their pujas and sadhnas.
It is believed that yagnas and homas observed on Nanda Navami or Bhadrapad Shukla Navami are very fruitful. In some places, On Nanda Navami day, fairs and Jatras are organized.
