Maduranthakam Eri Katha Ramar Temple Rama Navami Utsavam..

Eri-Katha Raamar Temple is dedicated to Rama located in Maduranthakam, Tamil Nadu. The temple is glorified by Ramanujar, Thirumalisai Alvar and classified as one of the 108 Divya Kshethrams. This is the sthalam (place) where Udayavar (the presiding deity) was named Ramanuja. The temple is also known by other names such as – Mathuranthaka Chaturvedi Mangalam, Vaikunda Varthanam, Thirumathurai, Thirumanthira Tirupathi, Karunagara Vilagam. Thirumalisai Alvar attained siddhi (enlightenment) in this sthalam (place). Also, Sri Ramanujar was instructed the Pancha Samskara Mantram at this place. The major festival of the temple is the Rama Navami festival, which commemorates the birth of Rama.

In the year 2024, Ram Navami festival was grandly celebrated in this temple on April 17th. Ram Navami, a significant Hindu festival commemorating the birth of Lord Rama, holds a special place in the hearts of devotees.

Ram Navami brings the devotees together irrespective of their caste and creed. Devotees from various parts of Tamil Nadu would come together to worship Lord Rama, at this Madhuranthagam Temple to show their great honour of worship to the Wonderful avatar of Lord Vishnu.

In this temple, Devotees performed special pujas and special prayers and chanted the hymns in praise of Lord Rama on Ram Navami. Many visited this temple, offered prayers and sought his divine intervention for prosperity, success, and protection from adversity. Panagam (Jaggery water) and buttermilk were pleasingly distributed in the temple, to all the devotees on the Rama Navami Festive Day.

This temple is expected to be one of the top destinations for devotees, since once Lord Rama had shown his divine appearance along with Lakshmana to some British Officials and also saved the Madhuranthakam Lake from destruction, and that’s why still now he has been fondly called as “ERI KATHA RAMAR”.

There are enormous benefits of Chanting Ram Naam. Chanting Ram Naam helps people to achieve mental satisfaction so that they can easily cross the Bhav Sagar (BIRTH AND DEATH).

The power of Ram Naam Chanting gives tremendous joy to the human soul.

Lord Rama is the one who is everywhere and in everyone but we cannot see him with our ordinary human eyes, but we can see him with our enlightened eyes by continuous chanting of Rama Mantra.

In human avatar lord Rama gave a very good message to the whole humanity.
