Swami Lilashah Ji Maharaj | Sindhi Sant Lilashah

Sant Lilashah (Swami Lilashah) was a multi-faceted personality. He was a yoga guru, Ayurveda Doctor, Vedic scholar and a great saint. Sri LilaShah was born in a small village at Hyderabad, Sindh Province at Pakistanin the year 1880. His birth name was Lilaram. At his young age his parents were died, and due to that he was brought up by his relatives.Due to his spiritual thirst,he remained as a bachelor and became a Saint and propagated the “RAMA BHAKTI” among the people.

He dedicated his life for the upliftment of the poor, down trodden and illiterate people. He was well-versed in many languages, and an expert in Vedas, Shastras and Hindu Puranas. He became the disciple of Sant Shri Keshavaram, and afterwards, he was named as Lilashah.

He travelled to North India and visited many holy temples, and also performed penance in the Himalayan mountain caves, and obtained great yogic powers through that.After some time, Swami has returned to Sindh and published spiritual magazines. He travelled throughout India, and spread the bhakti spirit among the people, and educated the poor children.

He founded Annadan choultries, Cow shelters, Ayurveda Hospitals,Yoga centres, Marriage halls and Spiritual libraries throughout India. Swamiji traveled to foreign countries and healed the people through Ayurveda medicines, and started Yoga centres and taught them Yoga and meditation. He fought for the welfare of women and conducted mass marriages at his own cost. He lived a holy and simple life. After spending his life usefully for many year she left his body in the year 1973. Still now Swamiji’s disciples are available throughout India, and his Samadhi Shrine is situated at Adipur, Gujarat, India.
