Sri Lalithambika Temple Kumbabishekham takes place on Sun, June 09 2024 between 7.00 AM – 8.30 AM. Shri Lalitambika Amman Temple located at Periya Thadagam, Coimbatore was consecrated with the blessings of Pujyasri Swami Dayananda Saraswati and is the fruit of austere penance performed by Swami Jagadatmananda Saraswati. The first Kumbhabhishekam was held on 20th January, 2000. Consecutively, the second Kumbhabhishekam was done by Pujyasri Swami Dayananda Saraswati on 6th February, 2012.
Our divine temple of Shri Lalitambika Amman has stepped foot into its 24th year. Goddess Lalitambika has showered her grace unconditionally upon devotees over the years granting all wishes and fulfilling their desires. Here at Shri Lalitambika Amman Temple, we teach Samayachara Sri Vidya Upasana, Meditation, and Yoga along with Vedanta and Vedic Astrology as per Prashna Marga which is a unique and effective system of guidance, all adhering to the knowledge imparted through authentic and traditional Guru lineages. Countless seekers and devotees have reaped the benefits of our mentoring. Through Shri Lalitambika Trust, we perform daily annadhanam, provide medical and educational aids, conduct free eye camps in rural areas, and participate in other charitable activities with a vision to contribute towards societal wellbeing. We also manage a Goshala at our temple.
Presently, our temple complex will undergo complete reconstruction in accordance with Agamic Shatras as directed by our Gurus and the divine command of Goddess Lalitambika. Abiding by the same, we have commenced the construction activities by performing the preliminary rituals on 3rd March 2023.
On 9th June 2024, Sunday, the Kumbhabhishekam of Shri Lalitambika Amman Temple was held with 1008 sanctified kalashas of which 8 kalashas was used for abhisheka of the temple vimana and 1000 kalashas were offered to the idol of Goddess Lalitambika. 108 Shivacharyars, 108 Odhuvamurthis, 108 Vaidikas, 108 Dampatis, 108 Suvasinis, 108 Vedic Brahmacharis, 108 Kanyakas and 108 Sanyasis were participated during the Kumbhabhishekam.
After the completion of Kumbhabhishekam rituals, the devotees were blessed and given in hand their respective kalasha with other puja articles as Prasada including an idol of Goddess Lalitambika, Mahameru, and Sri Yantra for worshipping at home. For 12 upcoming years, special pujas will be held in the name of the devotee annually and prasada will be distributed. Devotees and their families are blessed with abundant success.
