Happy Sri Krishna Jayanti 2025… I wish the readers of HINDUPAD a very happy prosperous joyful and colourful Sri Krishna Jayanti Festival day, which falls on 15|16 August 2025.
How many of us remember Lord Krishna during Krishna Jayanti Festival day? How many of us celebrate Krishna Jayanti Festival by thinking on Lord Krishna? How many of us offer our sincere prayers and thanks to Lord Krishna during his birthday Festival?
We should understand, that Sri Krishna Jayanti is being celebrated by us today, only due to the good act of Lord Krishna, that is, by making his divine presence on this beautiful earth. Hence, we must sincerely offer our heartily thanks to him, by saying, “HAPPY SRI KRISHNA JAYANTI, THANK YOU LORD KRISHNA”.
Krishna Jayanti is one of the most important festivals of the Hindus. This festival is celebrated in many countries. Krishna Jayanti is celebrated as a festival that removes the darkness of life and gives light.
Sri Krishna Jayanti festival would be grandly celebrated in the temples of Vishnu, Rama, Hanuman and in Guru Raghavendra Swamy Mutt, Mantralayam. During that day, the tasty Prasad items would be offered before the picture and idol of Lord Krishna, and after the performance of puja, the Prasad would be offered to the devotees and they would eagerly taste the delicious sweet item by considering it to be the great Sri Krishna Prasadam. Likewise, in various Mutts at Udupi, special ghee and butter items would be prepared during the auspicious Sri Krishna Jayanti Festival day and it would be distributed to the devotees.
At least on that day, we should spend our time very happily for each and every moment. Needless to say, there is no need to talk about the celebration of this festival. For Krishna devotees, every minute of that day would be spent with happiness, and they would also feel as if they are in heaven!
Many of us are settled in the apartments today. Day by day, we fly with a wheel tied to our legs to meet our daily needs. Many of us nowadays have the mentality of wanting more and more, and not with the mind that enough is enough. Only if the current situation changes, Sri Jayanti will become a grand festival for us.
