Ekadashi or Ekadasi vrata is an auspicious vrat dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is observed on 11th day of Shukla and Krishna Paksha in each month.

Apara Ekadashi – 6 June 2021
Apara Ekadashi (Achala Ekadashi / Bhadrakali Gyaras) falls in Krishna Paksha of Vaishakh Month of Marathi, Telugu, Kannada and Gujarati calendars. It falls in Jyeshta Krishna Paksha in North Indian Hindi calendars.
Apara Ekadasi mahatyam was mentioned in the Brahmanda Purana. Observance of Apara Ekadashi or Achala Ekadasi fasting cleanses all sins of the performer and makes him/ her free from all the bonds of the life.
Once upon a time Lord Krishna was queried by Kind Yudhisthira about the importance of Apara Ekadasi and how the sacred name sprouted in the month of Jyestha? Elated at being asked, Lord Krishna elucidated the importance of Apara Ekadasi to King Yudhisthira.
Nirjala Ekadashi – 21 June 2021
Nirjala Ekadasi is also known as Bhimsen Ekadasi or Pandava Ekadashi. On this day, most of the devotees observe fasting even without drinking water.
Nirjala Ekadasi falls in Shukla Paksha Ekadasi in Jyeshta month as per all lunar calendars followed in North India, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. It falls in Edavam Month in Malayalam calendar, Vaigasi Masam in Tamil Panchangam, Jyeshto Mash in Bengali Panjika.
Yogini Ekadashi – 17 June 2020
Yogini Ekadashi falls (17 June 2020) in Krishna Paksha of Ashada Month as per all North Indian Hindu lunar calendars and in Jyeshta Month as per calendars followed in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
It falls in Aani masam of Tamil calendar, Midhunam month of Malayalam calendar, Ashar Month of Bengali Panjika.
