Char Dham yatra to resume by July end for 2013 year. As per the officials, Char Dham yatra including Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamnotri would resume by the end of this month.

Chardham Yatra or Char Dham temple tour is the most holy pilgrimage tour to four prominent abodes in Hinduism. In 2013, in fact every year, Chardham Yatra opening dates occur during Akshay Tritiya.

In 2013, Yamunotri temple opening date was May 13, 2013. Gangotri was also opened on May 13, 2013.

Opening date of Badrinath temple in 2013 was 16 May and opening date of Kedarnath temple in 2013 was 14 May.

Due to the Uttarakhand Floods that ravaged Chardham Temples and many other temples across the state have stopped the Yatra. The major damages had happened to Kedarnath and Badrinath temple due to floods and landslides.

Government unofficially hinted that there would be no Chardham Yatra for next three years but now the things got better and the weather supporting very much so the yatra would be resumed by the month-end.
