Ashada Shukravara Puja in Mysore Chamundeshwari Temple is held during Fridays in Ashada month as per Kannada calendar. In 2025, Ashada Puja on Ashada Fridays dates – June 27, July 4, July 11 and July 18.

The temple committee and the government of Karnataka arrange all types of facilities for devotees to have hassle-free darshana of the Goddess.

For Ashada Shukravara Puja, ticket counters are arranged in several places in Mysore. You can get tickets at ticket counters located in temple premises, near Mahishasura statue and helipad, where devotees board special buses to reach the Chamundeshwari temple.

Though Ashada masa is inauspicious for celebrating any functions like marriages, gruhapravesha, aksharabhyasa, upanayana, etc., it is most auspicious for worshipping the Goddesses and the Gods (for pujas and vratas).
