65th Independence Day Sand Sculptures, Sand Art works for Svatantra Divas 2011

Independence Day 2011 Sand Sculpture by Tarani Misro

As Bharat (India) turns 65 years on 15 August 2011, famous sand artists of India: Tarani Misro of Andhra Pradesh & Sudarsan Pattnaik of Orissa have created sand sculptures with different themes. Tarani Misro created a sand sculpture which displays the tri-colored flag with a quotation – “India @65”. Talking to Hindupad, Tarani said that he would be expecting our India to become a great nation which has a significant number of iconic youth. He also stated, using eco-friendly (clay) Ganesha idols for Ganesh Chaturthi will definitely control the pollution & save our mother earth from environment hazards.

Anna Hazare Sand Sculpture for Independence Day by Sudarsan Pattnaik

On the other side, Puri’s famous sand artist & world famous artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture with the theme of Anti Corruption. He created the sand sculpture with the image of Anna Hazare quoting it with “Fight against Corruption”.
