86 feet biggest Ganesh idol in Vizag (Dondaparthi) is the biggest Ganesh idol for Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Built at Dondaparthy, the eco-friendly clay idol of 86-feet is in the form of Lord Krishna avatar, playing flute.
For Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, the idol was installed on 19 September 2012. At least 15 Kolkata- based artisans have worked on the 86 feet idol for 30 days in the place where it will be installed on Vinayaka Chaturthi. It will be self immersed by spraying water on the clay idol, says organiser Appala Raju.
The mammoth Ganesha idol is carrying a laddu of 108 kgs which will be distributed among devotees after the auction.
