Sri Vishwesha Tirtha (Śrī Śrī 1008 Śrī Viśveśa-tīrtha Śrīpādaṅgaḷavaru), (1931–2019), was a Madhwa saint and he served as the pontiff of the Sri Pejavara Adokshaja Mutt. Sri Vishvesha Tirtha was under the lineage of Sri Madhvacharya’s disciples. He served as the president of Vishva Tulu Sammelana, and he had founded Poornaprajna Vidyapeetha in Bangalore. He had rendered a good service in Vedas and taught the divine scriptures to the students in a simple manner, and he was praised by the devotees for his sincere service in spirituality.
Shri Vishvesha Tirtha was born in the year 1931 in a Madhwa Brahmin family and his birth name was Venkatrama Bhat. He has become a saint at his young age itself. His spiritual guru is Shri Vidyamanya Tirtharu, and he made Shri Vishwaprasanna Tirtha as his successor of Shri Pejawar Math.
He had travelled all over India, and spread the philosophies of Sri Madhwacharya, who was the incarnation of Lord Vayu Bhagavan, and invoked the “KRISHNA BHAKTI SPIRIT” among the people, and he was also a sincere devotee of Guru Raghavendra Swamigal at Mantralayam.
Swamiji had performed lot of social service activities, and he has started many educational and social service institutions.
He started hostels throughout Karnataka, and has provided free boarding and lodging facilities to the poor students, and also provided uniforms at free of cost.
Vishwesha Theertha used to frequently interact with Dalits and even used to visit their homes, and preached the importance of KRISHNA BHAKTI among those people.
He started cow shelters at many places in Karnataka and provided proper food and stay facilities to the holy cows.
After his death during the year 2019, a Brindavan was erected at Vidyapeetha mutt, Banashankari.
