Thiruvallur Veeraraghava Swamy Temple

Veeraraghava Swamy Temple is a temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, located in Thiruvallur. It is considered as one among the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Vishnu is worshipped as Veeraraghava Perumal and his consort Lakshmi as Kanakavalli Thayar. He is also known as Vaidya Veeraraghavaperumal, since he cures the diseases of his devotees at this temple.

If we consume the holy Thulasi Theertham at this temple, by chanting the “OM NAMO NARAYANA MANTRA” all of our worries would fly away from our mind, and our body also would become stronger. The temple is believed to have been constructed by the Pallavas during the 8th century AD.

There is a Goshala and People can offer grass and greens to the cows and can get the divine blessings of the divine cow “KAMADHENU”. Veeraraghava Perumal is believed to have appeared and married Lakshmi in this place. The temple observes six daily rituals and three yearly festivals.

The most important chariot and float festival, celebrated during the Tamil month of Chittirai (March–April), is the most important festival of the temple. Lot of lodges and hotels are available nearby this temple, and transportation facilities like bus and auto are also available. Devotees can utilize these facilities, whenever they get an opportunity to visit this temple.
