Tulsidas Ram Bhajan

Tulsidas (1532-1623), was a Hindu saint and poet, was well known for his devotion to Lord Rama. He was born in a village in Uttar Pradesh. His birth name was Rambola. Tulsidas has written several popular works in Sanskrit and he was the author of the great epic Ramcharitmanas, a translation of Sanskrit Ramayana into Hindi language. Ramcharitmanas is considered as one of the finest works of Hindi literature, and apart from that, he has also composed and sung lot of Bhajans in praise of his beloved god Rama.

Tulsidas lived in the city of Varanasi. He was the founder of Lord Hanuman Temple in Varanasi.He has been recognized as one of the famous poets in Hindi.It is considered that he was the incarnation of the great sage Valmiki. At the age of five years, Rambola was adopted by Naraharidas, and became a saint, and from then onwards, he was named as “TULSIDAS”. He travelled to many holy places like Badrinath, Dwaraka and Rameshwaram and met various saints. During his life time he had the darshan of Lord Rama, Hanuman and the great sages like Yajnavalkya and Bharadvaja.

RAM BHAJAN

1. Oh Mind! Think only about my Lord Rama, and erase all other unnecessary things. Lord Rama is the one, who has got lotus eyes, shining face with a great divine beauty.

2. The beauty of Lord Rama cannot be measured by anyone. He contains a blue coloured body, which looks like the beautiful clouds. He is the loving husband of Ma Sita, who is well known for her chastity, purity and generosity.

3. O Mind! Always sing in praise of Lord Rama, who is very compassionate on others, and shows his kindness on all of his devotees like a caring mother. He belongs to the Raghuvamsha Clan, and he is the son of King Dasharatha and Ma Kausalya.

4. Lord Rama wears a beautiful crown on his head, and beautiful pendant decorates his ears, and he applies the holy mark (Thilak) on his forehead. His weapons are the bow and arrow, and he looks like a ferocious lion for his enemies, and appears like a humble cow for his friends and well-wishers.

5. O Lord Rama, you always get seated on my soul, and you have been liked by the great gods like Shiva and Brahma, and you are the one who destroys all the bad acts of your devotees.

6. O Lord Rama, you have been praised by Ma Shakti herself, and she says, “Lord Rama is very merciful and gentle. He shows his true love on everyone”.

7. O Lord Rama, I want to become your obedient servant like Lord Hanuman. Those who chants your glories, sings your songs and recites your mantras, would get addicted and attracted on you, and thereafter their mouth would only recite the single word, RAM.

8. O Lord Rama, even the Sheshnag, the divine serpent bed of Lord Vishnu, cannot fully tell about your significance, since you contain very good attractive features.

9. O Lord Rama, I want you to take birth once again, in order to resolve the problems of the people in the world.

10. By chanting the Rama Mantra, we could feel that our entire body attains calmness and we could also feel great spiritual pleasure.

11. Just by sitting in one place and by doing meditation on Lord Ram is sufficient for me to spend my remaining period of life in a peaceful manner.

12. By praising Lord Rama, we could get great strength on our mind and body.

13. Our each and every body organs must chant the wonderful names of Lord Rama forever in our life.

14. If each and every person in the world chants the Rama Mantra, “JAI SRIRAM”, then this earth would be like heaven.

15. The sun, moon, stars and all the planets gets astonished with your ever increasing name and fame, and they also started chanting your Rama Mantra, “JAI SRIRAM”.
