The great Lord Nandi Bhagavan’s pious consort is Ma Suyasha who is the daughter of Lord Marut, who is one of the celestial Devas serves in the court of Lord Indra Bhagavan. The details about Lord Nandi’s marriage with Ma Suyasha were mentioned in the Holy Shiva Purana.It is also believed that Lord Nandikeswara’s marriage takes place at Sri Vaidhyanatha Swamy Temple situated at Thirumazhapadi, Tamil Nadu.

When Lord Nandi was serving faithfully to Lord Shiva at Mount Kailash, it was his divine masters Lord Shiva and Ma Parvati, who were decided to perform marriage to him with Ma Suyasha, since, they considered their divine attendant, Lord Nandi Bhagavan, as one of their sons, similar to Lord Vinayaka and Lord Muruga.

This divine marriage event was held in the earth at the Thirumazhapadi Shiva temple, where all the celestials including Shiva, Parvati, Indra, Brahma and Vishnu were attended the marriage ceremony. Holy Sages, Kings and Shiva devotees were also witnessed the divine marriage event of Lord Nandi Bhagavan. Lord Brahma served as the chief priest, and Ma Saraswati Devi, served as the bride’s friend. Grand feast were offered to all the participants present in the marriage hall, and even the celestials were had the tasty meals and blessed the newly wedded divine couple.

After getting married with Lord Nandikeswara, Ma Suyasha served him as a dutiful wife, and she also becomes the chief Divine Attendant of Ma Parvati Devi. She used to welcome the female guests to the Kailasha, and after getting permission from Ma Parvati, she would allow them to visit Ma Parvati at her place.

Suyasha also received several boons from Parvati, Parameswara, and both of the divine couple would be immortal forever, and even during the time of deluge, they would be alive!
Though most of the people are not aware of Ma Suyasha, yet, she blesses all the Shiva-Shakti Devotees, and she also acts as a mediator between the devotees and the god-goddess.

There is also a famous Stotra dedicated to Ma Suyasha, and it was mentioned in the Holy Text Sri Devi Bhagavata Purana, where Ma Suyasha was mentioned as one of the divine aspects of Ma Parvati Devi.

“Oh Ma Suyasha, you are the pious and chaste consort of Lord Nandi Bhagavan, who is the Lord of the entire universe, you are an aspect and a staunch devotee of the Holy mother Parvati Devi. Please give me your permission, to worship Lord Shiva along with his consort Ma Parvati Devi, and please grant all kinds of prosperity in our lives.”
