Srivatsam Senior Citizens Homes, Kalyanapuram, Veppathur

Srivatsam Senior Citizens Homes is situated at Kalyanapuram, Veppathur which is also close to the ancient and famous Tiruvidaimaruthur Sri Mahalingeswarar Shiva Temple, and this place is situated just a few kilometres far away from the famous Temple Town Kumbakonam! At this place, we can find the happy and satisfied faces of Senior Citizens who used to eagerly spend most of their time in the Shiva and Vishnu Temples situated inside the Srivatsam Complex.

There is also ample car parking facility, and apart from that, ample space is also available for walking purposes, and most of the residents would do their cheerful early morning walk, by enjoying the natural breeze, and by having a look at the natural greenery and scenery, and we can also find cranes, peacocks and wonderful small tiny birds on the grass fields during the time of our jogging. Lot of spiritual, recreation and cultural events takes place at Srivatsam Complex and at the Premi Kendram Hall, in order to provide food to the souls of the Srivatsam Senior Residents. Regular visit of Doctor also takes place, and Srivatsam Nurse also showers her motherly affection towards Srivatsam Residents with regard to attending them properly.

There is also an Ambulance Vehicle available inside the complex of Srivatsam, and it acts like an emergency doctor during the time of urgency. Library is also available, and there we could find plenty of books on all topics. Before entering the food hall, nearby the reception, we could find a big picture of Guru Raghavenda Swamigal who would be seen in the form of worshipping posture, and inside the food hall, we could also find a big picture of Ma Annapoorna, whose appearance would look very realistic.

We can also hear the recitation of Vedic Mantras which would be done by a group of Senior Citizens inside the Srivatsam Temple Complex, and I used to daily pluck some flowers in order to offer it to Lord Shiva, by considering it as a small spiritual activity. Vegetable Vendors, Oil Vendors and Milk Vendors would be available during morning hours, and most of the residents would utilise their services. Jolly Trips to the nearby farm house are also arranged, and most of the residents would take part into it, in order to spend their time joyfully and peacefully. Car and Auto facilities are available at our door steps, and the drivers are of a friendly nature.

Sri Vittal Rukmini Mandir, Govindapuram, Bodhendral Mutt, Govindapuram and Sri Sridhara Ayyaval Mutt, Thiruvisainallur are also situated just a few kilometres far away from Srivatsam. Here at Bhojanalaya, also called as Annapurana Hall, sumptuous delicious food are available at a nominal rate. Guest Houses are also available at Srivatsam, and whoever plans to visit Kumbakonam could comfortably stay at Srivatsam Guest Houses by enjoying the excellent natural view of the Holy Kaveri River from the Windows.

After this wonderful Srivatsam Apartments was built, Kalyanapuram and its nearby places had attained high reputation, and in course of time, the name Srivatsam would be spelt by most of the Senior Citizens in Kumbakonam, since Srivatsam Apartments also acts as a major land mark in the Kumbakonam City!

As a resident of Srivatsam, I feel proud of writing an article about Srivatsam Apartments on this NEW YEAR DAY (01.01.2023).

I WISH THE READERS OF HINDUPAD A VERY HAPPY, DELIGHTFUL, PRECIOUS, PROSPEROUS, HEALTHY, BLESSED AND PEACEFUL NEW YEAR 2023, AND LET GOD SHOWERS HIS ABUNDANT GRACE ON ALL OF HIS CREATIONS, WHETHER IT MAY BE BIG OR SMALL.
