Andal Kalyanam is a popular ritual observed in Srirangam Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple on Bhogi Pongal (last day of Dhanurmasam celebrations). In 2022, Andal Kalyanam date is January 13.
Goddess Andal (Godadevi / Goda Ammavaru) merged with Lord Ranganatha in Srirangam after observing the Paavai Nombu (in Margali masam).
The union of Goddess Andal and Lord Ranganatha is celebrated as Andal Kalyanam. Andal (one of the 12 Alwars) is believed as the incarnation of Mother Earth, Bhoodevi.
Sri Andal (Goda Devi) was found in a garden of Periyaalvar. She grew up by Vishnuchittha, a great devotee of Lord Vishnu in Srivilliputtur. Andal compiled Thiruppavai, 30 Pashurams in praise of Lord Vishnu.
