After assuming as the pontiff of the holy mutt, Shantanand had done good service in the mutt, and he performed pujas to the deities in a well-versed manner. Though there was some misunderstanding between him and few of his guru’s disciples, it was later resolved.

He properly moulded his disciples, and taught Vedic subjects and other holy texts to them. He frequently interacted with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and described him as the“Master of Vedanta”.

Shantanand Saraswati taught that people must allocate some time regularly and concentrate their attention on doing Pujas and worshipping the gods at the temples. He also frequently used to tell to his disciples, that god has been given this human life as a boon to us, and we must properly utilise it in order to attain SALVATION.
