Sarvasiddhi Matangi | 5th Day – Shyamala Navaratri

Sarvasiddhi Matangi is a powerful tantric form of the Mahavidya Matangi, revered in Sri Vidya traditions as the granter of all accomplishments (sarva siddhi), encompassing supernatural powers, mastery over arts, speech, and complete fulfillment of desires.

According to some traditions, Sarvasiddhi Matangi is worshipped on 5th day of Shyamala Navaratri in Magh Month.

Tantric Powers

Her sadhana yields ashtasiddhis (eight supernatural abilities) and shatkarma (six acts: pacification, attraction, disruption, division, immobilization, destruction), providing immediate protection, control over enemies, magnetic charisma, and hypnotic speech. Worship awakens inner wisdom beyond Sarasvati’s outer learning, granting intuitive insight, sexual magnetism, and transformation of mental blockages into creative force.

Relation to Śyāmalā Hierarchy

As the Tantric counterpart to Rājā Śyāmalā (Matangi’s Sri Vidya form), she completes the speech progression—uniting para to vaikharī—invoked for ultimate boons from “leftover” (ucchishta) offerings, emphasizing pollution-transcending power during Navaratri or Matangi Jayanti.

Sarvasiddhi Matangi practices draw primarily from tantric texts like the Rudrayāmala Tantra, Vāmākeśvara Tantra, and Prāṇotoṣiṇī Tantra, which detail her as a boon-granting form of Matangi emphasizing ucchista (leftover) worship for all siddhis.

Key Scriptural Sources

  • Rudrayāmala Tantra: Describes her 10-syllable (daśākṣara) mantra “oṁ hrīṁ klīṁ sauḥ aiṁ sarvasiddhipradāyai namaḥ” with nyāsa, dhyāna, and kavaca rituals for ashtasiddhis and shatkarmas, including genital and foot touch procedures.

  • Nityotsava and Śrīvidyārṇava Tantra: Outline her as Rājā Matangi’s extension with sampuṭīkaraṇa (bīja reversal) for material-spiritual prosperity, linking to Śyāmalā’s speech hierarchy.

  • Śākta Māhabhāgavata Purāṇa: Narrates origin from Śiva-Pārvatī’s leftovers, establishing ucchista-cāritra sādhana for supernatural control and wisdom.

Practice Elements

These texts prescribe left-hand (vāmācāra) methods with pañca-makāra offerings, focusing on sound (vāk) mastery and DNA-like empowerment through solar practices.
