Sankranti 2015 Special Trains for Visakhapatnam, Secunderabad….
The South Central Railway (SCR) is planning for two premium superfast special trains between Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam and eight special trains between Secunderabad-Vijayawada keeping in mind the Sankranti festival. Train No 02204 Secunderabad – Visakhapatnam premium AC Superfast Special train would depart from Secunderabad on January 9 (Friday) at 11 pm and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 9:45 the following day.
In the return direction, train No 02203 Visakhapatnam – Secunderabad Premium AC superfast special train would leave Visakhapatnam on January 10 (Saturday) at 9:10 pm and arrive in Secunderabad at 7 am the next day. Enroute, these premium special trains will stop at Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Anakapalle in both the directions.
These trains will have 16 coaches viz, three AC II Tier, eleven AC III Tier and two power car coaches. Advance booking for these premium trains can be done online.
Secunderabad – Vijayawada special train Train No 07208 Secunderabad-Vijayawada special train would depart Secunderabad at 11:15 pm on 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd January (Fridays) and arrive in Vijayawada at 5:45 am the next day. In the return direction, Train No 07207 Vijayawada-Secunderabad special train will depart Vijayawada at 11 pm on 1st, 8th, 15th and 22nd January (Thursdays) and arrive in Secunderabad at 5:40 am the next day.
Enroute, these special trains will also stop at Nalgonda, Miryalaguda, Nadikudi, Pidugurala, Sattenpalle, Guntur and Mangalagiri stations in both the directions. These trains will have 15 coaches viz, one AC II Tier, one AC III Tier, six sleeper class, five general second class and two second class luggage cum brake van coaches.
The Indian Railways has decided to run a pair of special trains for four trips between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad in order to clear the extra rush of passengers in view of the upcoming Sankranti festival.
An official release here on Monday stated that train number 08503 Visakhapatnam-Secunderabad special express will leave Visakhapatnam from January 9 to 30 (Fridays) at 7.05 pm, reaching Secunderabad the next day at 7.50 am.
In the return direction, train number 08504 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam special express will leave Secunderabad from January 10 to January 31 (Saturdays) at 10.10 pm, reaching Visakhapatnam the next day at 10.35 am.
The train comprises one second AC and third AC coach each, five sleeper class coaches, six general second class and two second class sitting-cum-luggage coaches in its composition.
The train will have halts at Duvvada, Anakapalle, Tuni, Annavaram, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru, Vijayawada, Warangal and Kazipet between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad in both the directions.
Meanwhile, the Railways has also decided to run premium weekly special trains between Santragachhi and Ernakulam via Visakhapatnam in order to clear extra rush of passengers in view of the Sankranti festival.
Train number 02853 Santragachhi-Ernakulam premium weekly special train will depart Santragachhi at 5.30 pm on January 3, 10, 17 and 31 reaching Ernakulam at 6 am on Mondays.
In return direction, train number 02854 Ernakulam-Santragachhi premium weekly special train will depart Ernakulam at 8.50 am on January 6, 13, 20, 27 and February 3 reaching Santragachhi at 11 pm on Wednesday.
The train will enroute Bhubaneswar, Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada, Renigunta, Katpadi and Coimbatore stations in both the directions. The train will have 17 coaches including four AC three tier, 10 sleeper class and one pantry car.
