Saddula Bathukamma is the 9th day (final day) of Bathukamma festival. In 2020, Saddula Bathukamma date is October 24.
It falls on Ashwayuja Shuddha Ashtami, eighth day of Navaratri – Durga Ashtami. In some places, Saddula Bathukamma is going to be held on 23 October.

- Nuvvula saddhi (sesame rice).
Batukamma Panduga or Bathukamma festival is the largest regional festival celebrated during Durga Navaratri in Telangana state. In Telugu, ‘Bathukamma means ‘come alive Mother Goddess’. Bathukamma represents the Mother Goddess Gauri (Gauramma).
In 2020, Bathukamma festival begins on September 17 with Bhadrapada Amavasya and then resumes on October 17 and ends on October 24 with Saddula Bathukamma (Durga Ashtami). The shuffle is due to Adhika Masam in 2020 (Adhika Ashwayuja Masam).
This year’s Bathukamma is the second Bathukamma festival in Telangana state. Grand celebrations are on cards for this Bathukamma festival.. Saddula Bathukamma is celebrated amidst cultural extravaganza at Hussainsagar Tankbund in Hyderabad on 24 October.
