Aligina Bathukamma (Alaka Bathukamma) is the 6th day of Bathukamma festival. In 2016, Aligina Bathukamma date is October 5. It falls on Ashwayuja Shuddha Panchami, fifth day of Navaratri.
No Naivedyam, Palaharam for Aligina Bathukamma. Women do not prepare Bathukamma but play Bathukamma. But they do not offer any palaharam to bathukamma on this day.
It is believed that on this day, Bathukamma would be away from taking any meal as she has got annoyed and angered.
Batukamma Panduga or Bathukamma festival is the largest regional festival celebrated during Durga Navaratri in Telangana state. In Telugu, ‘Bathukamma means ‘come alive Mother Goddess’. Bathukamma represents the Mother Goddess Gauri (Gauramma).
