In spite of undergoing lot of treatment from the palace physicians, yet, his wounds were not healed completely. One day night, the king had got a sweet dream, and in that dream, Lord Shiva had appeared and asked him to construct a temple for him. Pleased with the divine Darshan of Lord Shiva, the Chola king had immediately started the task of building a nice temple for Lord Shiva. The king’s wounds were also completely healed within a few days, and as a result, the Chola King had named the Shiva Temple, as “ARULMIGU RUNA LINGESWARAR TEMPLE”.
