The annual fest of Ramakrishna Teertha Mukkoti has been observed with religious fervour in this sacred torrent located in the deep green forests of Seshachala ranges on 21 January 2019.
According to Brahmapurana, the Ramakrishna Teertham falls under the category of Mukti Prada Teertham. On Monday morning after the second bell, a team of priests left to Ramakrishna Teertham, which is located 6 miles away from hill temple. This mukkoti is usually observed on the full moon day in the month of Makara (capricorn) is considered to be highly divine for holy dip.
The annual torrent festival here is usually observed on the auspicious day of Makara Pushymi Nakshatrayuta Pournami in Tirumala.
On that day, a team of archakas and temple staffs visit this torrent and offer prayers to the deities of Sri Rama and Sri Krishna located here.
There the priests organised special abhishekam to Sri Rama and Sri Krishna Swamyvaru, which are considered to be the presiding deity of the utsavarulu located inside sanctum sanctorum of Tirumala temple.
