Ramachandran Ganapathi

Ramachandran Ganapati (1935–2012) was a famous writer in Tamil language. His parents were ardent devotees of Lord Vinayaka, and as a result Ganapati was born on the auspicious Vinayaka Chathurthi day, on 1st September 1935. His father worked in government department, and he was a Vedic scholar.

Ganapati was educated in Chennai. He was a graduate in English Literature. After finishing his studies, he began to work in Kalki, the Leading Tamil magazine. He visited lot of temples and wrote many articles about that.His articles received worldwide attention, and he was praised by many famous personalities like Rajaji and M.S.Subbulakshmi. He was a dedicated writer and he has written articles in a simplified manner, and still his articles collections are available in all leading libraries.

His famous article Jaya JayaShankara, which was published in Kalki, received good recognition from the spiritual personalities and also from the readers of Tamil Magazines, since in this big article, he has clarified the doubts of the people, about Sri Adisankara and about its religious teachings.He also wrote life history of saints like Ramakrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Sarada Devi.

He wrote a famous article, which was based on the divine speech given by Sri Kanchi Paramacharya to his devotees in order to clarify their doubts, and he has given the name for the article as“DeivathinKural”. This DeivathinKural is now published in the form of books, and it is available in Online also.

After serving for many years in the spiritual field, Sri Ganapathi had died in the year 2012, which was supposed to be the famous MahaSivarathri Day.

He lived a pious life, and concentrated his attention on writing bhakti articles. He was a great admirer of Hinduism, and he tried his level best to spread the holiness of Hinduism amongst the masses through his good works.
