Phulera Dooj at Vrindavan, Mathura Temples

Phulara Dooj is an important festival celebrated at Radha Vallabh Mandir in Vrindavan and Sri Krishna Temple of Mathura Uttar Pradesh. In 2021, Phulera Dooj date is March 15.

It is celebrated on Shukla Paksha Dwitiya in Phalgun Month.

During Phulera Dooj puja, the deity is adorned with light white garba and seated under floral, colourful creeper decorated mandap tying gulal in a piece of cloth to the waist part of the deity. In the night, after Shayan Bhog it is removed. It is one of the worth watching celebrations in Vrindavan & Mathura Temples.

Pooas and some other special recipes are offered to Lord at Sringar Bhog. ‘Samaj mein rasiya’ and ‘Sandhya Aarti’ are some other important rituals of the day.
